Title LOHAS Gugan, Dining Pleasure
Introduction The Guguan Hot Spring in Taichung City is highly valued for its waters and touristic recreational resources. Every year the Tourism Bureau’s Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Administration holds a “Guguan Hot Spring & Cuisine” event that combines Guguan’s rich resources, including eco-tourism and a fine-food festival. With an appeal to “LOHAS (Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability) Gugan, Dining Pleasure” and a huge original marketing effort announcing the Guguan Spring as the “No.1 Spring of Central Taiwan,” they coordinate this with the “Taiwan Hot Spring Fine-Cuisine Carnival” and integrate this with the approach and content of a local industrial resource campaign to create a topic of conversation, forging the image of a “creative Guguan Hot Spring” that has tourists personally experience the combination of a hot spring culture, creativity, and industry—a new face for tourism marketing. The “LOHAS Gugan, Dining Pleasure” event is aimed at attracting everybody to Guguan so they can all experience the new hot spring culture of “romance, relaxation, LOHAS” and also spur the development of local indigenous culture and the tourist and recreational industries. During this event area restaurants and hotels offer tourists discounts and welcome everyone to visit Guguan and enjoy the good health that comes with bathing in the hot spring.
